Sheldon Randall MD has completed extensive education and training in his field providing him with the knowledge and experience to provide top quality care and services to his patients.
Beginning in 1974, he completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Connecticut. Located in Storrs, UConn was founded in 1881 and has expanded over the years to offer over 120 academic majors in 14 schools and colleges. The school currently enrolls over 19,000 undergraduate students and is ranked 56 in National Universities by U.S. News.
Upon earning his undergraduate degree, Sheldon Randall went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Xochicalco in Mexico in 1978. Xochicalco University School of Medicine is highly acclaimed for its programs in International Medical Education and Research. With his degree, Sheldon Randall MD joins generations of accomplished medical professionals working in Mexico, the United States, and all across the globe in their mission to provide top level care and present a positive impact in communities around the world.
Additionally, Sheldon Randall earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry in 1979. He completed this degree as a member of the 5th Channel Program.
Internships and Residencies
After obtaining his educational accomplishments at university, Dr. Sheldon Randall entered into several internship and residency programs to enhance his knowledge and experience in his specialties of general surgery, nutrition, bariatric surgery, and beyond.
From 1979 to 1980 he completed a residency in General Surgery at the North Shore University Hospital Department of Surgery in Manhasset, New York meeting requirements for Graduate Medical Education (GME I). He then spent four years as Chief Resident at the same hospital completing GME II-V.
From 1984 to 1986, Sheldon Randall completed a fellowship at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center focusing on:
- Clinical Nutrition
- Metabolism
- Critical Care
- Bariatric Surgery
His final residency program was completed in 1989 where he stood as Senior Surgical Resident in General Surgery at New England Deaconess Hospital.
